The flower is pressed in the resin making it seem like it lives forever because it doesn’t wilt.The necklace has multiple loops in the chain making it adjustable. In the photo I took of me wearing the necklace, I have the clasp on the first loop.It has a vintage feel. I am careful not to spray any perfume on it or wear in the shower to avoid the metal from changing colors. If it changes colors soon, I will edit this review to let you know.The necklace feels like it is good quality. I see this a nice gift for any age group from elementary school aged kids to seniors. I got this as a mother's day gift for my mom, and gave it to her early. She said she always wanted something like it. It's made well, a good size, and arrived in its own little gift box. It was well worth the wait, especially since my mother usually protests gifts. She loves it.

I purchased these as a gift for my daughter’s 9th birthday. I tried buying kids earrings, but purls looked microscopic. The backing is silicon and seems to be very secure . Purl is a great size. She has sensitive ears and has reaction unless it is 14k or 18k gold. Hope these will not give her irritation. I am sure she will like them.
