My son has not taken this off so we had to clean it in jewelry solution 2 times so far and it has held up great. This is equivalent to an itemFound in a fancy jewelry store. Very pretty necklace but cross is NOT as tiny as stated, nor as shown in picture. I have a larger neck, and you can see it’s a decent size. Still small but don’t expect TINY, petite cross. Gold looks real along with my real 14kt chain and pendant. Oh and it is adjustable Long extender
